Access to Higher Education.

The Institute will focus on the issues of equity, enhanced participation, diversification, quality improvement and governance. The studies already conducted have highlighted the major structural problems in this sector arising from the open access free mass education system in the primary and secondary stages. The large unmet demand for higher education exists in a context in which the majority of student’s eligible and seeking higher education belongs to households that cannot afford high cost private sector facilities. The public private mix and feasible financing systems become crucial.
