The Marga Institute Computer Lab launched during the latter part of 2006, offers special courses (Basic and Advanced) for professionals who wish to acquire the necessary IT competencies to be at the cutting edge of their professions.

Basic certificate programme for beginners

• Introduction and hands on programme on MS word (minimum 25 hours on computer)
• Thibus Sinhala word processing
• Microsoft Excel (calculations).
• Internet and e-mail (e-mail creation and management)
• Legal documentation in English and Sinhala (Deeds, plaints, affidavits, petitions,
  written submissions etc.)
• Local and International websites specific to the legal profession

Mondays and Wednesdays 
5.30 pm to 8.00 pm.
Duration of the course- 5 weeks

Advanced certificate in computer applications

• Advanced features on Microsoft Word, excel and PowerPoint presentations.
• Data base management using Microsoft Access.
• Electronic diary
